Andy Ihnatko's review of Amazon's Kindle ebook reader. According to him, what makes the Kindle stand out is its FREE (okay, after the $400 you spend on the device itself) internet connectivity through Sprint's high-speed EVDO network.

I have heard pretty awesome things about Kindle with the following two disclaimers:
- battery life is only about 24 hours...
- supposedly they were going to try to charge for downloading RSS feeds? I understand charging for eBooks, but blogs??!?!? -
It's pretty dumb they are trying to charge for blogs... and they don't even included the comments!
But with the "experimental" web browser you can read any blog (or webpage) you like for free.-

Sony has one that they are pretty proud of too. This technology is going to take off someday. Its just a matter of making it ergonomic and intuitive to use. Also I haven't used one for an extended amount of time but I imagine it would hurt your eyes. Anybody know if this is true?

Something that's shaped more like a book and feel like a book would sell well. Both just looks to me as a PDA or a mobile phone with a big screen.

According to other sources, Kindle's battery life is a week if wireless connectivity is turned off; and the whole point of epaper is that it doesn't hurt your eyes, because it's ink and paper.
