Wow, she is incredible. Her words echo in my mind and the conviction with which she speaks is very moving. I think she is one of the best educated and well spoken potential first ladies since Hillary Clinton.
I am still amazed by her speech.
-
Amazing speech. Wish I could have been there first hand.
-
I'm looking forward to the incredible journey we all are in for as the Obamas' lead this country.
-
Great Speech, but I couldn't help but feel like the the Obama daughters were just being paraded on stage like show dogs...

I am sorry, but her speech was boring. I did not find anything inspirational about it (other than maybe her dad persevering even with MS), and in fact she made two comments that made no sense to me.
One being that Obama grew up "poor"... His grandparents had pretty good jobs (his grandfather ran a large furniture store and his grandmother was the first female VP for the Bank of Hawaii) and managed to send him to an elite private school in Hawaii and were also able to afford to send their daughter (Obama's mother) to college.
She also skipped a huge part of Obama's career in a "big" law firm, by implying he went directly from having an oppurtunity of working on Wall St to doing work for the community.
If anything, it made me think she was playing down their success to seem more like the "common" folk. They have hardly lived the "common folk" lifestyle she made it out to be last night.
Well Spoken, Yes. Accurate, Maybe. Inspirational, No.
That is just my opinion, I am pretty sure you all will want to crucify me for being objective and giving constructive criticism on a speech, that to me fell a little flat because she was made to "tone down" her character.

Great speech. She spoke with so much heart.

Her speech touched my heart.. I never thought a speech could do that. And I have to admit, at the beginning I thought it would just be one of those LONG, incredibly boring speeches that state the obvious.. but luckily, it wasnt.. and it made her and her family look real.

shes totally Jackie O 2.0...better stronger faster! or something. Honestly I love this woman and hopefully if Obama gets the presidency, Im going to be just as stoked to have her for the First Lady as having Obama as president. Terrorist fist bump to her!
also am I the only one who gets diabetes from his daughters? those girls are so ridiculously cute and sweet!

As an organizer I start where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be. That we accept the world as it is does not weaken in any sense our desire to "change" it in to what it should be. saul alinsky-communist organizers book ..."rules for radicals" chapter 2
So you see, you bunch of nobama kool-aid drinkers you dont know your candidate and his wife...as they are radical communist people that are pledgerizing and lying their way to the white house.

What else did anyone expect her to say? I know speeches are supposed to be contrived, but the pseudo-stutters were definitely intentional and that's a little tacky.
She didn't wow me. The bit at the end with the kids was creepy. I know they were going for spontaneous and candid, but giving people cutesy feelings isn't really the focus.
Not noteworthy in my opinion. I'm sure it was for the people that already backed her and have unconditional positive regard for her and her prince, but nothing stood out to me.

Michelle is well-poised to hold a powerful place in America. This speech was evidence of her charisma and confidence.

Such a beautiful speech. So loving and genuine. It reaffirms Barack to me as a genuine man. So yeah...I have hope. I do! Hope for the future and hope that, although I'm not even sure a lot of you seem to deserve it, we will have a president that gets it.

How corny was that?! Come on people?! Of course she is well spoken she is the presidents wife?! They're just using that as a selling point, don't get me wrong I want Obama to win, but the speech was just cringe worthy, so corny.

She has my vote

Michelle Obama is intelligent, witty, out-spoken and inspirational! She should have run for president! Her husband will do as well though ...
PS: Could you imagine McCain's wife to give a speech of ANY value? I cannot!

We were discussing this in my U.s History class, and the girl across from me stated "Michelle Obama totally ruined Obama's chances at becoming president, she portrays herself very weak and does not have a political mind to be a powerful first lady." This girl is also voting for McCain, lets just say....she should get a swift kick too the face. This speech is literally amazing, her anecdotes make her and us Americans really connect.
-
I'm voting this down cause I'm sick of watching it.
Or maybe I watch Current TV too much. -
Michelle is my hero. People we are watching history unfold. My video is an ode to how the hard fought victories of the Civil Rights Movement has brought us to the stage our country currently occupies.
