However, six days after McCain suddenly quit, there's still a great deal of mystery about his departure as no one is talking, according to today's Arizona Republic:
One of U.S. Sen. John McCain's sons has resigned from the board of a Nevada-based bank that operates four branches in Arizona, just five months after he was appointed director.
Andrew McCain quit as a director of Silver State Bancorp, where he served on the audit committee.
...A Silver State spokesman declined to comment on the resignation. McCain didn't return phone calls.

Is it possible that the presumptive repuglican nominee got a little inside info and warned his son to bail so as not to add to mccain's looooong list of embaressments so far this campaign? Surely not!!

It's time for a Congressional Hearing.
If anything we can let them spend more of the money we don't have.
And if I'm reading the Article correctly? Neither does Silver State Bancorp -
Let them eat cake...

Everything is just simply a coincidence I guess.

Definitely worthy of further investigation.

Forget the fact that McCain's son is jumping ship from a shaky bank right before it crashes. What about Tony Rezko.
Did I mention Barack Obama bounced a check at Harvard?
-
Like the last 4 elections, I don't have much faith on both of the candidates.

Mcsame the younger learned from his dads mistakes, get out before you get caught in a banking scandal. It amazes me that the Keating 5 hasn't been brought up at all in the campaigning yet.
-
I think it should be investigated, however Im not going to jump to assumptions and say John McCain helped him.
However I imagine it will come up in the political arena, however maybe the two candidates will understand eachother in that both have some iffy stuff. So perhaps Obama wont use the bank/son thing if McCain doesnt use Rezko.
Well see I guess.

Its very reminiscent of Bush Jr. and his many failed business attempts when he was young.
-
Remember the Silverado savings and Loan scandal. Well if I remember right Neil Bush was involved in that and it didnt even make a news item, let alone a scandal. My how some people have the power to cover up all kinds of corruption. As for side walks being private. Ive never been aware of this. I wonder what it would take to get 100 million legitimate citizens to move into Washington to talk to Nancy Pelosi? or anyone else for that matter. There is more than one US Constitution. One for us and one for the Washington elite. That is why they are above the law.
-
The fact that Nevada is a swing state and that this involves a "Nevada based bank" could make this an important story. It would probably be a good idea to keep tabs on this story.
-
I don't like insider trading. This should be investigated just like we investigated Martha Stewart for doing the same thing. Investigate and if guilty prosecute. If innocent no big deal.

It's easy to imagine the McCain campaign putting a lot of effort (future promises, favors, money, etc.) into covering Andrew's tracks if something illegal indeed happened. This could potentially end his bid for the White House and they know it.
Their goal right now is to keep this story quiet for a couple more months. Don't let them.

Just another example of the "rats" leaving a sinking ship.

This is not the first time that McCain has effectively covered up or prevented a major political screw up by a member of his family.
McCain was the chief opponent of Regan's "first time offenders law" claiming that all drug addicts were criminals and should receive the stiffest sentence allowed by law. Until "Cindy McCain" was caught "Doctor Shopping", with prescriptions from dozens of doctors for pain medication. Some of them with forged dosages and amounts.
I imagine it cost the McCain's tens of thousands of dollars and tons of political clout to get the charges finally dropped, but they managed. He also became an advocate of the Regan law just in case he couldn't.
Once the dust settled, he became one of the ramrods of the "Mandatory Minimums", now law in the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
There are over 1,000,000 first time offenders in prison serving a Mandatory Minimum sentence of 5 years. Not because they broke any major law, but simply because they were addicted to drugs.
The McCain's are the poster children for political "Hypocrisy".

Here we go again.
One of the oldest games around.
Just revised for the current situation..
Ride on!
