I couldn't agree more, though I believe this article misses the point of WHO are the formulators of the US version of this fascism. It is the Religious Right AND the Imperial-Executive groups -- Dobson, Robertson, Falwell, Palin, et al, on the Relgious Right, and Cheney, Wolfowitz, Palin, et al, in the Imperial Presidency camp.

"The coup" took place immediately after World War Two, and was a real coup de'etat, staged by the military industrial complex President Eisenhower warned of in his valedictory address to the nation.

I've written about in a great deal on my www.judoknighterrant.com website, and will publish a book about it soon. There is no reasonable doubt about the coup, and history will say so. To recognize what happened, you only have to know history and be unbiased about facts.

it just seems to me people want something to complain about.. politics, economics, innovation.. all things that happen in cycles. you can't trade something bad for something good unless you know its bad. we can't be right all the time. there are too many complainers and not enough stimulating ideas. this place seems to be crawling with enough people raising awareness about issues that really don't seem to be issues. there is no coup. there is no fascist regime of republicans. instead of spreading rhetoric, spread some new ideas.

outtheinside, I and many like me have been spreading new ideas for decades. "Guerrilla law," for instance, had the government on the ropes (a private citizen who gets a personal call from the attorney general and a ruling from a U.S. District Court - as I once did - has something they fear).

The trouble is that few people recognize a good idea when they hear it. Most, matter of fact, fear like the plague any new idea. New ideas must go through four stages, and in the following order: ridicule, toleration, acceptance, and theft.

Have you read the book "Sway?" Do you know the "frames" theories of George Lakoff? It's worth perusal.

This shapes up as the slickest corporate swindle of the U.S. public since creation of the federal reserve, a way to give houses to millions of those who would never get a loan otherwise (anyone no mention at all of illegal immigrants and their contribution it all of this), and all at the expense of wage-earners and productive taxpayers. The corporations, of course, get all the loans paid off and make billions on the deal.

When I said this was next after the S&L swindles of the eighties and nineties, all my friends scoffed. They're not scoffing now, and several have already called to say I'm a prophet.

Anyone with a brain who knows corporate America could have expected this, and what good is a prophet if no one listens? Watch for the next swindle having to do with energy, new energy companies, and fuel efficienct cars.
