The 65-year-old, who played Pauline Fowler in the BBC One soap, said she would marry her long-term partner before starting chemotherapy.
Richard has fought off breast cancer twice but in January was diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease which has spread to a kidney and her bones.
She told the Sunday Express that she has since planned her funeral and written her will.

Depressing how this star is already planning her own death. I hope that her partner and family make her happy before her death.

This is a sad one... Ms. Richard has graced many of our homes "East Enders". Knowing that we are about to lose a dear friend makes it more difficult. Godspeed, Ms. Richard.

I don't think its depressing that she's making plans. I think it's very sad that she's been so unwell and is likely to die quite soon and quite young - I'd feel that about anyone in her situation - but to have the opportunity to prepare, make plans, help her loved ones prepare, and try to enjoy the time she has left is actually a very empowering thing to be able to do in an awful situation.

Seems like a good way to face mortality and take control of what you can in the time that's left.
