Vatican labels Democrats ‘party of death’

If the Democrats are the "party of death", Republicans are the slaves to Death and the Vatican is the harbinger. Look at their book, the Magical Fantastical Fanatical Bible. Talk about death. There are more references to stoning and impaling, gouging out eyes and cutting off limbs than a snuff film.

I guess the Vatican has forgotten that the number one cause of death is God. When was the last time the Democratic party went on a crusade, killing everyone who didn't agree with them? Wasn't it Jesus who said that we should remove the tree from our own eye before pointing out the splinter in another? Hate the sin, love the sinner?

Why is the Vatican even getting involved in U.S. politics?

Awesome. Just what we need, more nutballs accusing us of being witches, demons, and just plain evil.

I don't trust the Vatican any more than I trust political ads on the TV and Radio.

i wouldn't consider this a victory for republicans. the vatican has much more scathing criticism for them.

This is an absolute joke. As a proud member of the Democratic party ( the largest and oldest political party in the United States) I must point out that we are for gun control, against continuing the war in Iraq, against Nuclear weapons usage, for negotiation, and mostly anti death-penalty. The party of death my arse, we are the party of HOPE!

I don't trust Russia Today, but I suppose to justify that I'd have to be as skeptical of other major news outlets "fair and balanced" reporting because of their own vested interests.

Well I tell you, I am skeptical, of just about everything.

This piece raises important questions about the role of churches in politics, especially because the race is tight and churches appear to be more explicit in their guidance.

Apparently the Vatican has never heard of separation of church and state.

i am Catholic however I strongly disagree on the Vatican's stance on abortion. I also think that they need to stay out of the American voting process and concentrate on putting priest in jail that are or have been molesting children.

This coming from an organization that turn their head when Nazis were killing people all over Europe

It's the timing of this alleged stance that bothers me most of all.

I could not agree more. Democrats say "Life starts after birth" which is the MOST stupid argument ever. Yet, I do approve after-45-days abortions. Anything after that, is Murder.

Wasn't it Pope Urban who exhorted imoverished Europeans to commit mass murder and atrocities throughout the Middle East in what are called the 'Crusades? Historical accounts describe knee deep blood rushing like a river through the city of Jerusalem.

There was this little thing called an 'inquisition', as I recall.

How many innocent folk were burned because someone in the Catholic Church 'DEEMED' them to be witches?

And what as that spot of bother about how the Vatican supported Hitler and did precious little to prevent a Holocaust?

Isn't it the Vatican that is responsible for the spread of aids in South America and Africa because it forbids the use of condoms?

And, more recently, the Vatican is calling DEMOCRATS the 'party of death' when it --in fact --it was the GOP regime of George W. Bush that invaded a sovereign nation upon a pack of lies, committed mass murder and in the process prosecutable war crimes, crimes against humanity and heinous torture in violation of EVERY international prohibition. Where was the Vatican outrage? Where is it now?

Sure --Bush had some Democratic support in the Congress which ought to be dealt with with lots of primary losses and forced resignations.

But to call the 'Democrats' a party of death is just plain stupid --deliberately misleading --when in fact it is the GOP that is no longer a political party, it's a crime syndicate and a kooky cult to boot!

Note to the Vatican: do a fact check! You're NOT infallible and you don't speak for any God that I believe in.
