The Michelangelo of Graffiti

Art is a beautiful weapon. Most of our youth are criminalized for creativity in Los Angeles. I hope this video will open some peoples eyes to what graffiti really is, and how important it is to not only the artist that create it. But also to the communities that these murals educate.

so, is this part of a larger project?

Art in every form is an expression of one's soul. I truly am amazing by graf artists by how they can turn a brick wall into so much more. To give something with such little meaning so much meaning is an amazing feat that many people can't do. This shows how art can turn people's lives around for the positive and spreads a positive message about graf art.

Art is nutrition for the mind and soul. Art is a lie that helps us realize the truth. His ideas of freedom and release are very reminiscent of early modernist artists, like Picasso and dali, breaking the mold and finding new ways to create, express and inspire. Art is closely tied to philosophy and the contemporary intellectual thinkers of the day. Graf art, a social branching off of Propaganda, a way to speak out eloquently or with brash undertones, brings out the lively ideas and philosophies of our generation. It is not unlike the impressionists who would display their art, vulnerable, in public for people to see, experience, and critique. Everything great, at one time or another, has hit a strong current of criticism or received a debilitating plate of doubt, but surviving society's shaking finger is step closer to becoming a legitimate movement. Graf art has succeeded in this as a result of the hard work, passion, and dedication of people like Mear One. Make it new! Never met you but, rock on Mear One.

Graffiti art usually is considered vandalization because there are random people that write stupid tags and nonsense. A true artist has actually send out a positive message, like Mear.
