A Polish arbitration tribubal suspended the PZPN (the equivalent to the Football Association) and named an administrator last week after the country's Sports Minister filed a motion saying it had broken the law a number of times.
"They (Polish government) have to realise they are playing with Euro 2012. How can we trust a government to host the tournament .... if they fail to meet the deadline then it is likely we cannot go on," a UEFA spokesman said.
FIFA, whose rules forbid government interference, said Warsaw must reinstate the FA or risk being suspended from this month's two World Cup qualifying matches.
Update: According to FA bigwig Sepp Blatter the Polish Football Association has settled a dispute with its government that threatened its right to co-host Euro 2012.

Though i'm sure it's imperative they have a governing body in place to host a tournament, I wonder what the players and true fans have to say in these circumstances.

I'd suggest that England gallantly replace the warring Poles if they do get stripped of the honour.
Guarantees our qualification as well right?

It is essential for there to be a governing body such like the FA as hosting a large competition like the Euros is a massive undertaking, and if Poland are not willing to sort the problem out then I agree with the competition being taken away.

It sounds as if the polish government was acting in the best interests of the countries footballing community, should the issue not be why was poland given 2012 if there were questions over it's reputation.

@Pettigrew - As UEFA spokesman William Gaillard put i on Friday: "The rules are clear. We offered Euro 2012 to the FA, not the government. So if the FA are not in place or suspended then they are not in a position to host the tournament."
Update: Poland have missed FIFA's deadline to resinstate the country's FA. Fifa said on Monday it had received new information but awaited a full report.
