Today, sex is everywhere. Pumping in our ears through music, on the club dance floors, on TV, and in our relationships. It used to be an absurd thing to talk about outside the bedroom of a married couple, and now it is the thing that everyone is talking about! Sex has turned into something so vile, rude, and immoral; all from something that was so sacred, and almost secretive.

And now, mainstream music is even taking it to brand-new limits, with Katy Perry's song "I Kissed A Girl", in which she kisses a girl and likes it. But enough about that.

Modern media has been blowing things way out of proportion, making sex a kind of merit badge or something that makes you higher than others, which sex shouldn't be used for. Sex has turned into a drug of sorts, that blasts in the ears of young teenagers (mainly females) as a special treat, that is streamed through the interweb as a form of viewing entertainment.

Sex needs to go back to the way it was, in the days where it was something sacred, and cherished among couples.

I think sex should be cherished by any people having it, not just married couples. That belief goes against that of human biology.

sexualizing young teens and promoting irresponsible behavior is certainly bad.
but sex between any two (or more) consensual adults is nothing to be criticized.
any sex, enacted with respect, deserves to be respected.
don't force your values on others.
that's the job of the republican party. and they get paid to do it. let them earn their money. otherwise, we'll have bigotry running around willy nilly.

    I agree with ambulantic.

I applaud open, honest, frank conversations about sex. Few people are able to have them. It is important, particularly for women, to discuss sex freely. To ask questions and have them answered.

No hiding it, pretending it doesn't happen. It does damn it and it has the potential to be fantastic. Sex should absolutely be cherished, but within the confines of what I choose.

i think people should stop prescribing what people should and should not be doing according to one set of values.

who are you to determine what one couple (or more-some) regards as cherished?

As a high school student I hear a lot of talk about sex and people being pressured to have sex.Just recently one of my friends sisters had a baby, noting i would want to do at my age.Yet I don't look down upon it,or up to it.It has caused her a lot of pain and sacrifice. She stil lives her life and I don't believe anyone should look down on her.She already has moved out and has her own house. But again that is something I would never want to get into at this age.
