This is so fucking awesome that the man behind the economic policies now has mud on his face. I couldn't have actually believed it could be possible. Perhaps you are completely fight about the effect of this on Neoliberalism.

Milton Friedman is the man who gave the Globalizing corporations the green light to give up having a social responsibility. He scolded them and told them that their only responsibility is to the stockholders. In this rebuke lies the heart of the matter. Corporations have the rights of real human beings, but only have one responsibility; to their stockholders.

This means that they are not responsible to the environment, or society, or the welfare of the world community. This is the problem with Capitalism run wild; too many people suffer.

Capitalism must be balanced with Socialism or NeoLiberalism to keep the machine of progress well oiled. People need to be well fed, educated, and given the opportunity to advance and prosper. Wealth needs to be spread around more and not concentrated into the hands of 4% of the population. To allow this to continue would mean that we are still living in a feudal society.
