Didn't MySpace come before Facebook? Why does Facebook get a movie first?

Haha, wow. Its amazing that there aren't any more good stories left that you have to do them on a website. Man oh man.

I suppose it's Facebook and not Myspace because MySpace is in decline and Facebook is growing so will still be relevant when the movie's ready in a year or two. Plus there's been a fair bit of dramatic beef in the Facebook camp since its inception.

Hiring this guy who couldn't even set up his own page to write a Facebook movie is like hiring Fred Flintstone to write a thesis on Einstein's theory of relativity...This movie will depict Facebook as accurately as West Side Story portrayed the reality of gang violence with dance fighting...When you're a fool you're a fool all the way, from your first facebook script to your last dying day...Brilliant!

um.......im not sure face book will still be relevant when this comes out..... i mean myspace only had a bout a two year run or so once it got popular, xanga before that, facebooks time is limited

I really doubt this will be a hit.

The first problem they'll have to face is bending the truth in order to make Mark Zuckerberg come across as interesting!

Facebook's already scarily altered the way we fundamentally interact with each other, why does there have to be a film made about it? I can't imagine how it might be interesting.
-
I'm sorry, how the HELL can a facebook movie be AT ALL interesting. Sounds the most boring thing I have ever heard.

i think the reason they're making a facebook movie is because of the controversy surrounding it's inception. i mean, we all know tom created myspace, right? there's no mystery there! there have been lots of lawsuits about who created the original facebook before zuckerberg laid claim to it.
i hope this'll be a 'wall street', charlie sheen meltdown kinda deal but i probably won't see it.

Um, seriously. Who cares what the topic is? Aaron Sorkin is a genius. He could make the phonebook seem a worth topic for a movie. I'll go see this movie just because he's writing it, no matter what it is about.
