Precession gradually changes the location of stars on the celestial sphere. For instance, astronomers say that Sirius can be seen in the northern hemisphere at a favorable time during the winter months, but that it can also be seen in the Southern Hemisphere during the summer season, so it is very possible that SIRIUS was the star that the Three Kings referenced on their journey to Bethlehem which if I'm not mistaken is south of Egypt...... Egypt being in the Northern hemisphere :)

The star that was referenced could also have been the planet Nibiru or it could have been the destruction of the planet that is now the asteroid belt, and also it could have been a nova.
-
Jubal, there is no planet Nibiru, there never was. I know that it is a popular concept that has spread well beyond the zaniest of conspiracy theory circles, but it has no basis in reality.

Well I know that Nibiru is a fiction.
I put that one in there for laughs. But I have heard the planetary destruction theory and the nova theory before.
The other theory I heard was a conjunction of planets or stars with Venus being one of them.

Interesting. please, if you have more information, I welcome you to elaborate further.

Here is one website that I found on these subjects, there are many others like it.
BTW Were you aware of where Israel might have gotten its name.
As you stated above, Isis was the goddess who gave birth to Horus. She was the predominant Deity of the Egyptians for a long time, then a Pharaoh whose name escapes me changed the worship to Ra; the sun god.
The Hebrews remained in Egypt for 430 years, then Moses led them to Canaan where the people there worshiped a god called El (as in Elohim). Even the Hebrew tribes when they split off referred to God as El rather than Jehovah.
In short IsRaEl is a trinity of deities, Isis + Ra + El.
Israel.
Interesting?

V, do you believe the things you posted with regard to Christianity being the Spiritual Israel?
The information you quoted came from a Christian Ministry.
I found this information about the pronunciation of the Egyptian name of Isis in Wikipedia....
"The Egyptian name was recorded as ỉs.t or ȝs.t and meant "(She of the) Throne." The true Egyptian pronunciation remains uncertain, however, because their writing system usually did not feature vowels. Based on recent studies which present us with approximations based on contemporary languages and Coptic evidence, the reconstructed, correct pronunciation of her name is thought to be *ʔŪsat (ooh-saht). Later, the name survived into Coptic dialects as Ēse or Ēsi, as well as in compound words surviving in names of later people such as "Har-si-Ese," literally, "Horus, son of Isis"
Ēse or Ēsi is the root, Ra was still pronounced Ra.
How could the Hebrews live with the Egyptians for 430 years and not be influenced by them. They borrowed many of their beliefs, including the creation story.
There is something to the theory of the trinity of deities.
Check out this website at http://hearoyisrael.net/arts/hidden1.html it talks about the Hidden Name of God and talks about how the three Hebrew groups, the scribes, the pharisees and the sadducees were false teachers who corrupted the word of God to suit the various rulers of the Hebrew peoples.
I found it very interesting indeed, however all these things I have to remain open and critical about because I cannot just simply settle into a belief.
