Scientists develop formula for the perfect shower

The perfect shower can be reduced to a mathematical equation, according to a team of neuropsychologists in Cheltenham. The formula relies on a perfect balance of "seven essential elements: water pressure, environmental conditions, privacy factor, time length of shower, temperature of shower in degrees Celsius, fixture type and spray pattern." If executed correctly, the shower offers psychological benefits and releases endorphins in the brain to make us feel happy and energized.

"As an added bonus, showers generate negative ions that also have an uplifting effect on mood, so help to further reduce stress, wash away frustrations and dissolve muscle tension."

So what is the formula? A secret, apparently. The scientists were paid to figure it out for Mira Showers.

    Why oh why would any self-respecting scientist spend time developing a formula for the perfect shower? Well, apart from the financial incentive from 'Mira Showers', of course. I could have told them what it was already - consistently hot water at a decent pressure, at least 20 minutes, a cosy locked bathroom, aromatic organic shower gel, fluffy towels to sink into afterwards and daydreams of what I'd spend the money on if I won the lottery. Perfect.
