She gave birth to identical triplets who had to be kept in hospital incubators until they'd gained some strength. The kids' dad, no doubt amazed at the potency of his super-soldiers, said: "They're tiny and amazing. We weren't even trying for children and Kirsty was on the Pill. But we're so excited. It's an instant family."
Must've been a shock to the system though!

wow, I'd have been slightly traumatised at such news, I think, especially whilst on the pill. That is one virile couple. Wish them luck!
-
If they're so happy at having 3 children all of a sudden, why was she on the pill in the first place?
maybe it was all a hoax just to get 5 minutes of fame eh?

please, there not special. i see this everyday.

If you get pregnant despite being on birth control, why would you keep the fetus, considering how you intended for the fetus to not exist in the first place...if you're on the pill and/or use condoms, it's likely that you can't afford a kid or something...also triplets would require a whole big amount of stuff, in order to raise them.

That's the scariest kind of news ever. Not only does the Pill monumentally fail but they end up with 3 babies! Scary Mary. Several layers of latex, people! (Or polyurethane, if you're feeling more modern and wordy) It's the only way...

Why do people insist on calling it "the Pill"? There are millions of pills out there. If we can call birth control "the Pill" I should be able to call my mom's vicoden "the Pill."
I think it comes from the fact that "the Pill" used to be illegal.

Ha! I can still remember a colleague who used to get annoyed because his GF used to make him wear three condoms! (definitely worked OK for her!!!) I can also remember a woman who was getting fat legs with the Pill. Her doctor prescribed a low dosage pill and before long she was pushing a pram! Oh well that's nature.

To all the people saying she wasnt taking the pill or forgot to, you may very well be wrong. Many women dont respond to the pill, I started on the pill when i was 15 for medical reasons and several different pills just flat out didnt work on me. It took about 5 years to find a pill that actually would. More than likely she was on a pill that her body just didnt respond to. This happens to lots of girls and they end up with unplanned pregnancies.
Also the fact that she has triplets indicates that she probably had a hormone imbalance of sorts which could definitely have affected the pill's effectiveness

Obviously this pod is only being responded to by kids.... the immaturity about child birth runs rampant. Congrats on not yet qualifying for adulthood and looking at this as if it were a negative...
Again, I wish them the best of luck. The fact she had Triplets without a fertility drug makes the odds even more astonishing.
Who would frown upon the thought of having triplets? That's so unique in it's own right and you know that family, friends, and neighbors are there to help them out.
Wake up people, this is ultimately why we exist as humans...

Although I have nothing against various forms of birth control (to each his own!), I guess this just goes to show that abstinence really is the only 100% accurate method of birth control! It is a sort of scary wake-up call, though, to think that you could wind up with triplets even if you're on the pill!
