would two extra digits make it a drillion dollars... as in drill some more we need the money... and if an additional two extra digits are to be added to the new clock, that just indicates that we are willing to go into more debt, and not actually slow up and fix the economy.

They should do what zimbabwe did.
Downsizing their currency that is, not the persecution, torture and murder of their own citizens.

On the bright side, as the debt continues to increase, the clockmaker can look forward to some more business.

With a debt like that, how are we going to come up with the money for a new clock?

In the not so distant past America’s monetary system was based upon gold; somewhere along the way we have transcended to our all might dollar’s value being based upon time. We (the American people) have allowed for the change, we have allowed for the barratry of our time for a certain amount of money in exchange. Money is now based on work, and how much the work we do count monetarily. The American citizens have no one to blame but ourselves. You reap what you sow.
