Maryland Police Put Peaceful Protestor's Names On Terror Watch Lists

This is a big deal.

These people could have all their possessions seized and have family member thrown in jail and interrogated (tortured) for days/weeks/years....

NON-VIOLENT PROTESTERS are NOT TERRORISTS.

If you do not fight against these people who hate you you will one day feel their wrath.

And people say we're not on a slippery slope.. it gets more slippery every day.

this just shows how paraniod people have gotten in this country. After being arrested in maryland, let me be the first to say, fuck BEL AIR PD!

Next thing you know we'll have everyday American's being dropped off at Guantanamo Bay.

Wish I could find the people placed on this "terror" list and find out what common tread they all share.

All I can say is... WTF!!!

If I am not mistaken, "terrorists" try to impose their ways by any means necessary, such as religion and beliefs. Seems to me that our government has been getting very good at this.

There are MANY reasons why this is quite scary. Think of the past. Any country which maintained a secret compound or place of torture outside the rule of law eventually used it against its own citizens.

The president has the power (not will have, HAS) to simply declare you an enemy combatant at ANY TIME and completely suspend your rights of habeas corpus and due process. This means at any time, for merely voicing an opinion, you can be simply "black-bagged" off to nowhere, tortured possibly, and you may never be heard from again.

Who will do the black-bagging? Certainly not an army of the people. Which is why you have a paramilitary organization like Blackwater do your dirty work. Already they have $1bn+ in US defense contracts.

There are obviously several domestic surveillance apparata in place today, and this is just an example of turning it first against those who "speak out" the most against the wartime establishment. This was not an "accident" or "misclassification".

Naomi Wolf has a "blueprint" if you will of the 10 points of a fascist shift, and this move describes one of them IN DETAIL -- the fact that agents used aliases and became "one of them" during the activists' meetings, etc., violates their trust in each other and destroys the "enemy from inside", from the point of view of the MD state police.

This is what government enemies lists always become, Nixon's enemies lists were full of peaceful antiwar protesters and political enemies.

It's always about fighting free speech because free speech challenges the power structure and the power structure writes the damn lists.

I think if we don't get it soon, people will not tolerate these consequences. There are nearly a million people on the federal watch list according to Naomi Wolf.

It's only a matter of time before it all comes crashing down anyway, and the greedy ones on top will have done it to themselves. The rest of us are not insulated by savings or holdings and as the economy tanks, we will stop buying even if we don't want to. Then what will happen to the upper classes when we can't buy their shit anymore? This could end up being the accidental revolution, brought on by insatiable greed and avarice.

Hey, maybe we'll be too broke to make war!! Wouldn't that be cool. Oh wait, we have a lot of enemies now, they might want to come and stomp us after we are seen as weak...maybe we can helpfully direct them to the rich neighborhoods.

I have to agree. While I do not need to go off on a diatribe as what needs to be said, has been said, so I will just nod in agreement to the fact that this is very scary. The days of privacy are gone folks, and it looks like so are the days of having "rights" as a citizen or as a human being.

This is terrorism on WE the People. Lets put them on a terrorism list.
