This is yet another example of pure sexism. Why is it acceptable to photograph Sarah Palin in this manner? Imagine if this were to happen to Hillary Clinton?

Wtf? Hillary clinton is a chick also. You expressed a non sequitur. I dont think this can be classified as sexism in any sence. For sexism implies that one gender thinks that it is superior to the other. In which form does this photograph suggest that? The only thing this photo suggest is that women are attractive.

Unfair? She is a woman and this is what a woman looks like. Sexist? Define it. I know this much... a photograph of a man from this angle would be considered a bad shot and discarded.

There is no way we are ever going to get away with stopping such a thing... the better looking the woman is, the more photos will be taken, the more talk she will generate, and the more these type of things will pop up.

As for me? Women are sexier than men by their very nature. For instance, she is wearing a skirt and heels, typical for a woman. It allows her legs to be seen and her heels and curves to be highlighted and accentuated. Men wear pants. Their legs are covered and only the tops of their boring shoes are seen.

There is no comparison... we will always have this arguement. Sexist? I call it reality. She, and we, need to deal with it.

I'll tell ya, when I saw the headline I was hoping for a much better picture. And by better I mean more revealing/sexual. This doesn't strike me as sexist, someone please point out what they think is sexist about it...

    1. It focuses on a young male looking between the legs of Sarah Palin.

    2. It portrays her as a sex symbol rather than a politician. A photo of this nature is commonly seen in stories about professions like exotic dancing and hookers.

    3. The photo would clearly never be used and has never been used with any other politician.

The young man in that photo is more than likely looking up at her face, not "in between her legs".

How is this a sex symbol? Marilyn Monroe was a sex symbol. Bettie Page was a sex symbol. This is a picture of blurry legs.

As for photography and politicians, there are about a million crazy photographs you can find of any politician out there.

I'm sorry, I just don't see this as "sexist". From Wikipedia: Sexism is the belief or attitude that one gender or sex is inferior to or less valuable than the other and can also refer to a hatred or distrust towards either sex as a whole (see also misogyny and misandry), or creating stereotypes of masculinity for men or femininity for women.

I don't see that in this picture.

    (link removed by current...thank god)

Cry me a river dabne. When you start seeing stuff like this...it kind of puts your post into perspective. I get that you right wing hacks are scared, but you clearly have no sense of decency at all.

Hillary or Pelosi wouldn't stand for this type of photo either.

Good thing there isn't any kind of major economic crisis going on making it completely appropriate to waste a lot of time talking about this ridiculous photograph.

This is even more asinine than the Ayers distraction...and that's saying a lot.

yo it may not be sexist but the sex-symbol point is legit as hell. Pelosi would call for heads to roll (even though i really hate that B*$#h). Hillary would say somthing like "im dissapointed." Palin probably hasnt commented on the point because shes an american mom with common sense, not a good politician by any means. Thats what draws people to Palin............ Although i do have to say the legs dont hurt.........
