What started as hubris - "our guy's got it all sewed up" is turning to blithering panic.

For those with little better to do with their brains than get steamed over race and resentful over intelligence, being baited by McCain and Palin suits them just fine.

They are not so much examples of Americans but throwbacks to the way it was until President Eisenhower decided he'd seen enough and the troops paid a visit to Little Rock.

The apartheid mentality, the Nazi mentality, the Klan mentality, anything which can channel difference and fear into hate will always be with us. That a desperate candidate for the Presidency would use this as a vehicle to power is a very good reason not to entrust it to him.

This video just left me speechless. To think that people could be so hateful because others think differently. Obviously none of those people know how to research anything themselves. I am a 62 year old white female raised in middle GA. I grew up knowing all about racial prejudice. You don't judge people by their gender , race or color! You judge them by their actions! AND just for the record, when I was a little girl about five years old, the KKK stood for something altogether different than they do now! At least in our area they did. A white man down the road from us would get drunk and beat his wife and children so bad they would be black and blue and not able to go to school. One night a cross was burned in his yard. When I asked my Father what it was about, he said it was a warning from the KKK for him to stop. A couple of weeks later, he did it again. On his way home from the tavern, he was pulled into the dark and beaten with a rawhide whip so badly it cut whelps into his back. We lived there about five more years and he never touched his family again! That was the kind of life I grew up knowing. Some of the best friends I have today are black people. Obama will make a wonderful president and I am proud to have lived long enough to see America elect a person such as he to the presidency. Regardless of the lies Palin is spouting about him it is not working. America deserves more than a pampered, egotistical, lipsticked , brown nosed bit of fluff for a vice president! I would vote for OBAMA IF FOR NO OTHER Reason just to keep her from DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY by trying to run it on a split and a smile. She is showing every time she opens her mouth that this is all she has to offer.

I read on the News a few minutes ago that MCCAIN refers to Obama as not being truthful to the public. MCCAIN WOULDN'T KNOW THE TRUTH IF IT JUMPED UP AND SLAP KICKED HIM IN THE FACE! His ego and his political baggage keep getting in his way!
