Did your alma mater make the grade?
*mine dropped to #66. I wonder how they feel about that...

I attended the only Italian uni in the list (#192).
-
Usually these lists revolve around which Universities pay the list maker the most money.
-
Interesting - my alma mater is #96, below other US schools it was ranked well above in US News and World Report's ranking.

It is interesting that the two top places went to US universities. Last year, Yale shared the second place with Oxford and Cambridge, but the UK universities are apparently not doing so well ...

This list is a load of crap. I sat in on a few lectures at Pitt, and I feel that the education I received at Oberlin College was waaaaaaaaaay better.
-
this list is very off.... i mean NYU at #40? Rutgers at #151? why is rutgers even on the list?! this list also excludes all the small liberal arts colleges like any of the seven sisters' college and places like Haverford and Williams

ooh, not bad at no. 23, though it's quite funny that the main stat that lets us down is the staff/student ratings.. basically anyone who's actually been here dislikes it? oh dear.. *I* like it now...
-
#21, what whaaaat!
(Although my undergrad, Oberlin, is not on the list)

#40 woohoo!

Is there somewhere they explain the criteria they used? Or is the list completely arbitrary?

My university, Goldsmiths in London, didn't even make the list but I don't care - it was perfect for me, so it really doesn't matter how some list rates it.

I'm not sure about the criteria. When the uni would give us questionnaires to fill in, I remember that many students would put unrealistically low satisfaction rates - because showing you were satisfied with courses wasn't as "cool" as complaining...
-
As if trinity is the best Uni in Ireland.
UCD & DIT top that Mofo.
