I've been giving this issue a lot of thought lately and I must say that I would if the situation was right. Growing up as a young black woman in an urban area, I always thought that I had to date and/or marry a black man up until I went away to college and I realized that I was attracted to different ethnic groups. It basically comes down to who I can relate better with--if it's an Italian guy, then so be it, if he just so happens to be black, then it is what it is. So I'm pretty much saying that I am open to the idea of marrying outside of my ethnic group so long as we suit each other.

Here in Hawaii, mixed couples are so common that we hardly notice.

Personally I would definitely marry outside of my race, but I think there are a lot of cultural issues involved, as well as racial. There's attraction between people who have a lot in common; sometimes that derives from race, sometimes it doesn't.
