This man tells us that he is reacting against his upbringing, his "brain-washing." That's pretty normal adolescent behavior. But he seems to dwell on the "not democratic" line rather than on the "why republican"

I would love to hear a real positive, believable reason to vote republican.

But, after years of AM radio brainwashing, the Republicans got full control of our nation. After 8 years of the most dismal performance that has ever been done by the congress, executive (and all it's departments) and the stacked Judicial system, what do we have to show for it.

We have a nation that is in it's knees. Out spiritual energy has been used to pit citizen against citizen. Our economy in in the gutter. Our Military is being mis-used in the worst way. Our courts are letting corporations get away scot free after coating the Alaska Coastline with crude oil. Our Government has forced welfare for Wall Street down our throats.

And you say there is a reason to vote Republican?

These are all reasons to charge the Republican leadership with treason.

Seriously, I give him props for explaining his views on important topics, and hi backes up his reasons for wanting to vote the way he does in a cogent manner. He's pro life, is big on the right to bear arms, and (although I think he's deluded on this one, its his prerogative) he agrees with McCain's proposed economic plans. He is voting his conscience, which everyone should. I think he has no clue what welfare systems are like, but most middle class people don't and so instead of fault him for it I think he should run the numbers, and try to live for a month off a welfare check. I triple-dog-dare him.
