Obama's Citizenship?

I have just recently found a lawsuit being "fought" to determine the citizenship of Barack Obama. I simply cannot believe the mainstream media has not informed the Country of the presence and details of this lawsuit.

In the US District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania the suit has been filed by an attorney, Philip J. Berg. Mr. Berg is a Democrat, the former head of the Montgomery County, Pa. Democratic Party and a former member of the Democratic State Convention. This suit has been joined by the National Democratic Committee on the side of Obama and seeks to have the suit dismissed alleging Mr. Berg lacks standing to bring the lawsuit. The heart of the lawsuit appears to be a request Obama produce: (1). "Obama's "vault" version (certified copy of his "original" long version) birth certificate; (2). A certified copy of Obama's Certificate of Citizenship; (3). A certified copy of Obama's oath of allegiance. Apparently Obama has refused to supply such documents. He has recently been ordered by the Court to produce the documents.


The allegations necessitating the suit revolve around the location of Obama's birth and his subsequent citizenship of Indonesia. The scenario goes thusly. Obama's mother, late in her term carrying Obama she went to Kenya with her husband. She was resented by her in-laws and didn't like the way Muslim men treated women so she tried to return to Hawaii. Apparently the airlines refuse to allow her to fly due to her being very late term pregnant. So Obama, Jr. was born in Kenya. His father's family all verify this version and in Mombassa, Kenya there is registered the birth of one Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. on a date approximating when our Obama was born.


Alone this might not be significant as his mother was clearly at that time an American citizen. And as McCain was born in Panama and Sen. Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona Territory before Arizona became a state, legal reviews have supported the notion these folks met the Constitutional requirements of proper citizenship. There are records of "registry of birth" for Obama, on or about Aug. 8th, 1961 in Hawaii yet on two different occasions Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro told reporters he was born on Aug. 4th. 1961 at two different hospitals in Hawaii.


In Obama's case, he returned to Hawaii, but a few years later his mother married an Indonesian citizen, a Mr. Soetoro. They soon moved to Indonesia. In Indonesia Obama was adopted by Mr. Soetoro and was made and Indonesian citizen. His mother also became an Indonesian citizen. For Obama this was required as he had to be a citizen to go to school. At the time, 1967, American law required one to disavow their American citizenship if they became the citizen of another country, ergo he and his mother renounced their American citizenship. After a few years, Obama returned to Hawaii to live with his maternal grandparents. The law required him, at age 18 (the age of majority at the time), to apply to have his citizenship restored. He did not and has not are the allegations and he will not furnish document proving otherwise. If he in fact did not, he is not a US citizen and cannot serve in the Senate or as President.

    Remember Democrats asked for and filed lawsuit claiming he is disqualified.

    I find it ironic...since Obama has used technicalities to win elections...

    The article misses a very important fact that Obama's mother was 18 when he was born... US law at time was very clear that if mother is 19 and above than he would have been considered US natural Born but she was underaged so he would be considered Kenyan born.

    There witnesses to his birth in kenya and on record so get ready for the Harvard lawyer to start claiming all kinds legal and racial BS.

    You seem so lonely with the asking questions and giving all the answers...

    The Media isn't reporting about Obama's citizenship because the issue has been proven, he's a citizen.

    Also as you noted McCain was not born on US soil yet his is qualified as a citizen.

    And McCain himself said (yesterday 10/9) that Obama's a citizen. With McCain slipping in the polls, if he had a secret weapon to unleash against Obama's candidacy don't you think he'd be using it now?

    Thanks for website to checkout...i looked closely at birth certificate and it is obviously a modern one so no way an original.. also the key to this question is is Grandmother and a host of others in Kenya are on record to being at his birth in Kenya.
    It should not be mine or your to prove his citizenship but his and he has not.

    Look at Certificate and you will see it is an laser copy..

    We all have to use birth certifacte to get all kinds of licenses let's see his original.

    It is a technacality but reasonable to ask and for him to prove... this story is not over ,,, there is a lawsuit Hillary supporter and democratic official has filed.

    What did people state about not releasing documents about McCain?

    I love how this is voted down. Proves people can't handle anything negative about Obama. They rather continue to lie about McCain and Palin and delude their idea of who will win with polls and conjecture.

    If this is true there's a huge snag on Obama's ability to be President. Should this be true he would have spent MILLIONS of dollars for naught and he would have told the biggest lie in all American History....more so than that fairy fib by George Washington and that remarkable Cherry Tree.

    Oops ain't gonna cut it.

    I voted this up! I'm sure it will be moved up if there is legitimacy in it, Obama supporters should be confident this is BS and have nothing to hide.

    I think there is enough evidence or lack of to ask the question.. If you want to be a law enforcement agent or licensed professional you have show proof of citizenship... No matter your party affiliation this should be answered. Remember also a democratic representative brought up the question.... we have the right to know the facts.
    Also remmber that fact check is run by chicago org. that Obama chaired and is not exactly unbiased. so be careful what you accept as fact. take care

    I agree with those that have posted that Obama is a US Citizen. This is old news and has been disproven. I repeat, he is a US Citizen. To check facts, I suggest those that are concerned look to factcheck.org, a non-profit, non partisan organization dedicated to promoting the truth

    I feel like there is no faith in the US, its media , no profit groups and others. What I have learned in my many years on this earth is that if you believe in something, and search for it, you can always, always find a rationale to continue to believe. Even when there is facts to the contrary, a person can still make a case for continuing their beliefs. To believe that the US COngress, the Republican Party, the court system are completely ignoring Obama Citizenship is ludicrous. If this were true, McCain would be doing the happy dance and bring this to a close. There are always those that will believe in the worst of anything and everything. I am no Alice in Wonderland, but its time to move on to a serious truthful situation

    Philip Berg filed a formal, legitimate lawsuit. Why didn't they didn't contest?

    The truth does not fear investigation.

    Why would he have Kenyan citizenship if he hadn't been born there?

    McCain provided all the records they needed. Obama has not.
