Sculptor Tom Eckert really has a way with wood - especialy in how he makes it look like fabric. The pics are incredible - I'd love to be able to touch them just to feel the texture and see that it's really wood. The satin in the pic above, for example, is completely carved!
Oh, and he also made a rather awsome tank-chair.

He really has some amazing skills to be able to do this. I wonder if he played around with colors to bring out the colors and shadows of his work or are they naturally like that?
