This bothers me, the government is really over stepping its bounds. I almost worry that this may become a self-fulfilling prophecy though. As if this story was "leaked" in order to cause panic - a panic that would "justify" marshal law to take care of.

This makes me sick...people voting for Bush the first time and the second did not know that it would be like signing a lifetime contract that they didn't even read.

(feeling sorry for the rest of us who suffer because of their bad decision)

p.s: The only way to stop this, would be those soldiers decision not to do anything that Bush says.

It's too late to say "I told you so."

It's not enough for me to say "I told you so." The only state, besides disappoint and anger, left is extreme suspicion and caution.

Nonetheless we have to fight back somehow. If it means systematically dismantling their efforts with what little of this Constitution we have left to use, then: let's do it! There will many types of wars. Which one will you uptake?

Talk with every group you can find, look up community meetings for peace groups, sustainability groups, anti racism/oppression groups, church groups, environmental groups, tell them what you are seeing. People are beginning to hear of these issues, but they need it repeated (three times before it sticks according to marketing theory).

The way to respond is to take the advice of Naomi Wolf and Vincent Bugliosi (The Prosecution and Conviction of George W. Bush for Murder). There are grounds because of the illegal war, in every state that has had an American soldier die in Iraq, to prosecute GW for murder. The Attorney Generals in each state must be pressured to arrest and convict, we may not have time for an election.

If we fail at that and fail to elect our own president (for the third time), we must find other ways to resist.

Resist the corporate structure, stop shopping, moving and working and bring it to its knees. But we must communicate in person in every direction possible, because we will likely loose our ability to communicate electronically.

If you know people in the military and in the police, the local and state governments, push them all to resist any attempt to install Marshall law.

The 1st Brigade is 4000 persons, but they are the most "blooded" of all from Iraq. The local police forces have been militarized, Blackwater is on our soil.

These concerns are real and we must be ready to respond.

Suspend the US constitution? Did The terrorists win? THIS WILL NOT STAND! obedience to government? which one? the one by and for the people? this sounds like a republican terrorists wetdream.

Arms yourselves and defend your 2nd amendment before Obama hits office. Pre gun ban. At least you can currently buy artillery that is almost on the level of our local law enforcement, so do it while you can.

We are sinking quickly. We need to all be aware of what is going on and not be afraid to tell others.. if you don't you WILL regret it. I also agree you MUST arm yourself as quickly as possible.

hopefully that will inspire me again

The last time I checked, there were over 80,000,000 documented firearms in the U.S. Not including the recent run on purchases due to the sketchy economic situation.

Americans are well armed and ready to defend their personal freedom.

Many Constituents are prepared to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic.

Posse Comitatus is now being circumvented with the upcoming purchase by the government of mortgages. If they purchase the mortgages, this will make the land on which these mortgages are based, federal land.

This will then allow troops to occupy this land.

Federal troops have no place policing the citizens of the U.S.

If you are a soldier and CHOOSE to do so, be prepared for the consequences.

I oppose martial law completely. A soldier on every corner, a troop in every town...ALL THEY ARE DOING is protecting themselves from us. Write congress. your state reps, tell them you are aware of the situation and disprove strongly. AND if that doesn't work, defend yourself, fight back, this is OUR freedom at stake people!

To the blockheads that think Obama is going to take their guns: the first think your criminal president Bush did after Katrina hit was to send in the military and remove everyone's guns.

If you have a gun, you better hide it good, because it is your criminal government that is about to impose martial law and will take your gun.

Call your Attorney General's office and demand that they take action to hold this criminal president accountable for the murder of our American soldiers in an illegal war. Arrest and convict him.

There is no time for impeachment, there is no comfort for an election, Pressure now.

And in the meantime, organize with every group you know and could know. We might be out of time.
