A broad movement of campaigners and organizations have been calling on everybody to join action against excessive surveillance by governments and businesses. On 11 October 2008, concerned people in many countries took to the streets, their motto: "Freedom not fear 2008". Peaceful and creative action, from protest marches to parties, took place in many capital cities.

I wish to be apart of these demonstrations. But with the 3rd Infantry Brigade already deployed in America it's going to be irreducibly difficult to protest, especially in times like these, given that Bush has set it up so he can declare martial law to subdue "unruly" Americans. Perhaps we're giving him all the more reason to declare martial law if we continue to protest like this. Still, something needs to be done.

Hopefully, the police did not capture them, and futhermore, freedom shall be the prior to the election, just remember who truly stand for justice...even if it is not in the election.........

More protests. More outrage. More civil discourse. Lets make happen the change we so desire.

Is that "." a typo, or should 100 protesters be something to worry about? 100.000 people is nothing compared to 100,000.

More, More, More people on the street, it is the only thing that will protect us from our sociopathic governments that have been taken over by the corporate elite.

I'd like to see 100,000 people in the streets of Washington!

And, peregrinfalcon, we are all one, we have only been fooled into fighting each other and thinking of ourselves as different. There are two classes, rich and not-rich, they are at war and the rich are winning. This, however is a pitched battle and if enough of the not-rich stand up and speak out, we can not loose.

Bush said his base was the haves and the have mores. He was right, and Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Riley and Fox News are the face of the have mores.

They are sucking our blood and we can not stand for it any longer. They just succeeded in taking the wealth of our grandchildren. 700 billion dollars in the US to start with, and handed it over to a 36 year old exec who has 6 years of experience!

The up side is, when this overreach causes the complete collapse of the abusive economic system that made them all so rich, we will start over with a new system by and for the people.

It happened in Cuba, when the USSR collapsed, now organic farmers in Cuba are the highest paid professions. Medical care and education are still free and no one is homeless.

We need to change those figures to hundreds of Millions. If Jesse Jackson can bring a million together for his purpose then hundreds of millions can come together to either demonstrate or celebrate freedom from fear and government worldwide. We need to bring the world together to show our need and desire for peace as a global community each with their sovereign and democratic rights but not as one dictatorial power or despotic democracy. wake up world, We are a community like it or not. One of the greatest educational tools in the world is available for us to see. Im talking about Google Earth. It is educational to zero in on cities from all over this world and click on those little squares and get an eyeful of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world from Siberia to The cities of the Sahara and South America, China, Japan, Europe. Its a whole world out there and it will not be here forever. So people it would be wonderful if we could go to any of these countries and cities and have no fear of ones life. Its up to us as world citizens to bring peace to the world or destroy its beauty and let it pass into oblivion. I have seen much of the world and some of it is Ghastly but there is much that is beautiful to behold.

Were it not for ever-greater increases in central-bank money and the market expectation that governments are about to make taxpayers shoulder commercial banks' huge losses, the fiat money systems would presumably collapse right away.

International interbank short-term lending rates say it all: the latest drastic increases in yield spreads between money-market rates and official central-bank rates are indicative of the growing reluctance among banks to extend loans to each other, for fear that borrowers could default on their payment obligations.

This philosophy is based on the principle of self-ownership. You own your life. To deny this is to imply that another person has a higher claim on your life than you have. No other person, or group of persons, owns your life nor do you own the lives of others.

"You exist in time: future, present, and past. This is manifest in life, liberty, and the product of your life and liberty. The exercise of choices over life and liberty is your prosperity. To lose your life is to lose your future. To lose your liberty is to lose your present. And to lose the product of your life and liberty is to lose the portion of your past that produced it.

If it is kept peaceful and I mean super peaceful (without in your face shouting matches between people in their own groups or towards people on the opposite side), the protest would be fine and cannot give justification for Martial Law.
Unless Bush fabricates another story (his favorite movie must be "Wag the Dog").

we are being used like a herd of sheep. with protest will come the dogs of war to control us. using racism, drugs and gobal differences the goverment divides us with fear. people need to wake up and put aside their petty differences ,join together and put a end to the abuse of our rights. wether you are white, black, yellow, green are red. it is time that we became one people with a commen cause. THE RIGHT TO OWE OUR LIVES AND THE LIVES OF OUR FAMILIES

People need to to wake up to the front page. The corporative governing bodies of our nations have duped us into yielding powers to them that strip us of our own fundamental rights, while disguising it as deeds to protect [restrain] us and regulations to guide [control] us.

Revolution is imminent for those who cherish their freedom enough to fight for it.
