Watching on Comcast, it seemed like there was an avalanche of boos when she walked out - boos that were almost immediately drowned out by blaring, bombastic music.
There is no doubt in my mind that that the music was ordered up to help tamp down what could have been an even more embarrassing moment.
On YouTube there is a video in which she can be seen saying "They're booin' me" and slaps the event guy next to her who puts on headphones with a mic. Then the music gets louder. LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7TgDanmWkg - it is in the very beginning.

That's what she gets for talking bad about everyone that doesn't live in a small town. Sarah Palin, welcome to real America!

BAHAHAHAHA! Too funny. I feel terrible for her kids though. But for her, I can do nothing but laugh.

She is a walking joke. She deserves those boos.

Booing is so immature. Come on people grow up. We know she isn't that great. Her children were just trying to have a good time.

Her children are not 'trying to have a good time', they are being exploited by their mother so as to solicit as many uneducated votes as possible.
As the person who started the booing of O'Reilly when he was on the Colbert Report, the booing from these Flyer fans were of the highest quality. That shit came from the soul. Kudos!

She should not be showcasing her kids in public while stirring up racism and violent sentiment at her rallies. What does she think, that everyone is like her?
Puck Palin.

Yea that sucks for her.

I wonder if she had to leave a trail of breadcrumbs on the ice so she could find her way back off?

She's just lucky the boos weren't accompanied by snowballs like they were for Santa a couple years back.
I love this city

Yeah it could be booing, or it could be the people behind her 'ooing' at her backside.
-
Yeah, funny 'cause Palin is annoying, arrogant and stuck up but her kids was just bit harsh for them :(
-
Philly booed Santa Claus too. Consistently voted as the most disrespectful fans in professional sports.
However, when was the last time anyone in a position of authority was cheered? And I'm going back to like my kindergarten assembly. It's American tradition.

"Phillies fans would boo a wake"
-Joe Dugan"Some of these people would boo the crack in the Liberty Bell"
-Pete Rose"Remember, you're coming here for these coaches. Don't come here for these fans. Because I hate these fans. I've been here all my life and I hate them all."
-John Chaney, Temple basketball coach speaking to a prospective player John Runyan for the Eagles"You know what they do when the game's rained out? They go to the airport and boo landings."
-Bob Uecker"Ron Jaworski told me one time that he had completed like 14 passes in a row, and on the 15th one he had an incompletion and they booed him."
-Randall Cunningham, ex-Eagles quarterback -
It's a cheap shot. It's no different to Ashley Cole getting booed for the rest of the game at Wembley yesterday after his misplaced pass led to Kazakhstan scoring. England won 5-1, yet that wasn't enough for some people.

calculated cultural juxtaposition to elicit endorsement through posturing. Facinating.

The best new hockey mum in the United States! Ha! What is this? The WWF?
Great show!

Being a resident of Philadelphia and a HUGE Flyers fan, I found her appearance at the game to be totally uncalled for and a slap in the face to fans. Philadelphia is a fiercely Democratic city and we are very passionate about our sports regardless of their success. With that said; bringing politics into a sporting event made ZERO sense unless Ed Snider was trying to snub, insult, and alienate the fans.

Down with the Nitrous Mafia!

Too bad they didn't hit her with a stick.
