John McCain's campaign has removed the Virginia leadership representative Bobby May due to a controversial column about the policies of Barack Obama.

In the article, titled "The (clarified) platform of Barack Hussein Obama," took shots at Obama's ethnic background and implied him to be an Islamic extremist.

The article took a step-by-step approach to each of the policies, giving a cynical and often racially charged view of them. For example, on the matter of reparations to black communities : "Opposes before Election Day, and supports after Election Day."

On the matter of freedom of religion: "Mandatory Black Liberation Theology courses taught in all churches - raise taxes to pay for this mandate. Put Rev. Jeremiah Wright in charge."

May even took the time to throw Ludacris and 50 Cent under the bus, saying that Obama would "Hire rapper Ludacris to 'paint it black,'" and that he would attempt to appoint 50 the Secretary of the Treasury.

Is this just happening now? I remember reading about that guy's racist rant some time last week. Why didn't the McCain campaign fire him immediately?

The thing that started this WAS McCain making Obama seem like he some kind of unamerican, non christian, foreign, yet domestic terrorist.

letting it go on further than the day it started was just adding more gas and kindling to an already, growin fire for the mccain campaign.

The advisor wrote a piece claiming Obama was an extremist and a radical, but what the Liberal Media refuses to ackowledge is that Obama's policies are hyper-radical and so far left that even Stalin would wince!

To give just one example of Obama extreme far left, ultra liberal ideas....he wants to reform the Healthcare system by (get this!) allowing you to KEEP your insurance if your happy with it AND allowing the uninsured to buy into the same type of coverage offered to the Senators!

That is the most extreme, far Left idea....waitaminute. This is clearly a Soviet-style government run healthcare system that....well, no. Um, that proposal actually seems pretty moderate. Very, very moderate in fact. Hmmm. Okay, so we can give the terrorist commie Obama a pass on healthcare.

But what about his extreme hyper Liberal tax policy?

Get this....Obama has repeatedly proposed NOT INCREASING taxes on anyone making under a quarter million dollars! It's true! Um, waitaminute. Again that sounds very, very sensible and moderate. Ah, but he also proposes closing offshore tax loopholes maximized by companies with earnings of upwards of a trillion dollars a year! Can you imagine how devestating it would be to our economy if a company making $900 Billion a year (nearly a trillion dollars!) were forced to pay an addition 5 or 10 percent in taxes? Why that would...that....um, again that seems like a very common sense thing to do at a time when our economy in bankrupting and we have two massive land wars to pay for. In fact, it would be fairly idiotic and reckless not to correct those offshore tax loopholes that oil companies have been abusing for decades.

Huh. Guess the Republican Talking Point that Obama is "extreme" and "radical" is just more bullshit.

If anything Obama really isn't radical enough (at least not when it comes to healthcare, imho)

Compared to Kuccinich and Nader Obama is practically a Conservative!

McCain seems like he could be a good person that made some detrimental mistakes in who he associated himself with.

If MyCane is incapable of managing a handful of campaign workers, how will he manage the federal government. Slow minds are slow to make changes.

I believe McCain is probably a decent sort of guy, the problem is his brain is not wired correctly. He seems to believe in the Regan trickle down economic theory. You know if you let Robber Barons steal double hand fulls some will spill over and trickle down on the budget class. Better still trickle down is like some mega rich slob is releaving himself off a bridge and if you are unlucky enough to pass under you get a little trickle down. How stupid does one have to be to believe that if you let Robber Oil Barons steal you blind and give them tax breaks that are equivalent to the Social Security Debt while spending blood and treasure to protect their big oil reserve in Iraq, that they give a rats behind what happens to "Joe and Jane Six Pack." Well by golly gee Sarah would say, that is just pionting backward. Americans should go to the polls with this in mind: If you have to budget your income you are WORKING CLASS! It doesn't matter what color your collar is. Kissing up to the mega rich never got you tee privledges at the club! If you kiss their rear they will export your job for another ten cent a share profit. It is time we replaced CONGRESS. If you haven't heard his or her name associated with a middle class protection piece of legislation vote for the new candidate. If it is an unopposed republican write in a Democrat or you kid. THROW THEm out along with their lobbyiest friends!

Honestly, it seems that McCain cannot do anything right to the eyes of the press no matter how hard he tries. The press seems to be in love with Obama and everything he says or does. I don't think it's fair! Give McCain a break! I would like to hear less bickering on TV and both candidates to concentrate in giving us more facts about how they are planning to solve the difficult economy situation this country is going through.

I am not surprised. Our country is motivated by fear and hatred, the two driving forces behind the current wars. I am not surprised that it took McCain's campaign several days to fire May, I am not surprised that McCain is probably gaining votes because of his recent racist tactics. I am not surprised that race is a divisive issue in this country. I am annoyed, disgusted and afraid for our future, but i am not surprised.

With such a few percentage of americans understanding what is going on with the economic markets, people like simple. McCain probably reminds some Americans of a simpler time. And Palin is a simple minded lady, dontchaknow. A simple minded president got us into this mess; we need an educated intelligent global minded individual to get us out.

    Oh man

McCain just can't catch a break.

It's a rather shocking reality though that a significant portion of his base feels this way as well.

billydave - you've got it wrong. mcLame is not a decent guy unless you have no friends.

He has been voting some 95% of the time with Busheney gang bring us to this point. Let's not forget that.

How many innocent Iraqi lives LOST do you consider to be "acceptable" for a decent guy? How many innocent American lives LOST do you consider is "acceptable" for a "decent guy"?

mcSame attacks a respected United States Senator with lies and deception in an attempt to gain advantage for himself - think he give a squat about you when he deceives you? Is that respect? Do "decent guys" "respect" people?

Do the math. mccain and "abuse of power" falin' palin' need to go down in flames in this campaign with Americans making the unified statement: NO MORE BULL SH#T!

I love that its all going down like this. When McCain refers his opponent as "that one", it shows the lack of respect he has for him. It could be that Barak is just a young whipper snapper, but because he allowed the racial epithets to go for so long(he is just now condemning), it makes you wonder. Obama's candidacy has awakened a sleeping giant, and the hatred and fear is far more than I expected. I say get it out. Get it all out. And get over it because the inevitable, is about to happen.

If John McCain didn't become a hero one time, he'll be a big time liar today.

  •

It is sad that people will actually believe the stuff this guy said, but I'm glad that McCain removed him; maybe he hasn't lost all of his decency.
