The results page shows some unlikely results (for example, Texas is blue for Obama right now), but the page brags that it predicted the last two elections accurately - they had George Bush trumping Al Gore by 1% and John Kerry by 2%, which was just about right...
Not a big drip coffee fan, but I'm feeling like I want to get out there and buy some coffee to show my support!
-
I saw this yesterday and thought, huh, that's clever. Way to go 7-11.

I've been buying my coffee there for the last couple of months, and lately I've had my little blue cup floating in a sea of red every morning at the bus stop. I get some stares and some nasty comments I'm sure, but my iPod screens it all from me...
-
I'm in Chicago and I saw these last night. Scooped a bunch of them (mostly because I'm a college student and barely have anything to my name, much less dinnerware). There were only Obama ones though, even in the 'McCain' cup column. Part of me hopes it's just the store employees assuming Obama would be more popular in his hometown rather than that's all that was left after everyone took McCain/Independent ones...

We don't have 7-11s in Houston.
When the fourth largest city isn't giving an opinion...tisk tisk.
I'm sure there are some here somewhere...but I've never seen one in a long while.
If I were to go to one I'd go one day and get red then go the next day and get blue...just because I collect stuff like that.
Anyways this is a clever and interesting way of going about it.

uhh... this is dumb.
-
This sounds a lot better than the electoral college to me.

And what about us third parties? Nader anyone?
-
This is so great! Are you kidding me? It's not dumb at all! It's really clever. You can express who you'll vote for by drinking a cup of coffee! Yeah 7-11, this is a much better idea than online polls. Plus, you get a souvenir cup. =)

ahh. Who buys Coffee at a 7-11!? If so, your taste has some issues. This "test" might only adress those who are more likely to go into a 7-11, therefore, that have a Car and then that have a lousy like on Coffee. I see McCain winning there.
Why not starbucks? I bet Obama would win there 80/20
-
"they" also state that whoever's mask sells the most during Halloween is going to be President. It's worked the last three times.
-
love this - thanks for finding it Current!
-
That's how I vote, I just buy as much Obama Brew as I can.
-
I wonder if you can buy "write-in" ballot cups?
-
Eh, won't make me go to 7eleven for a coffee but if it gets people to think about getting to the polls more power to them. Nothing will ever beat all of the 7elevens that converted into Kwik-E-Marts though. That was just brilliant.
-
it's 7-11- NOT Starbucks,johnny_d.
-
Where's the cups for Nader and McKinney!
This isn't just a two party system... give all parties equal time and promotion or don't give it to anyone.

I miss 7-11, none over here in GA, but we have the damn commercials on t.v.
-
I find the percentages interesting.
Ohio(!) has the biggest Obama spread but all of them are at least 60/40. In the 3 McCain states, he leads by 2 or 3 percent.

This is a brilliant way to sell more coffee. I just wish their coffee tasted better.
