    • H2f2 - Hip Hop a Firenze (Terza Parte)

Public Enemy,Donald D ,Dre Love, Menti Criminali, Divieto, Il Generale, Long bridge All Stars,Papa Leo,Led, Zero T, Jaka, Wave

    • Onyx: Mad About You Interview

With their smash hit “Slam” and the multi-platinum Bacdafucup, Onyx were certifiable rock stars a full decade before mixing rap and rock became the norm. After four albums, Fredro Starr, Sonee Seeza and Sticky Fingaz found their Hollywood calling and put music to the side.

However, with the August release of their Cold Case Files via Koch Records, an album's worth of unreleased material from the Queens group is making its way to fans. The album features all of the group's members as well as verses from Sticky's deceased brother X1 and Big DS, as well as an appearance from Method Man on the “Evil Streets remix.” HipHopDX recently spoke with Fredro and Sonee about the timing of the release and more.

    • T.I. Makes History With "Whatever You Like"

After five albums, a few Grammy awards and pretty much any other accolades an artist could hope for, T.I. finally has his first number one single as a lead artist. When Billboard Magazine publishes its Hot 100 chart Friday the "King of the South" will take the top spot with his latest single from the upcoming Paper Trail.

"Tip" has flirted with the top chart position before when both last year's "Big Things Poppin' (Do It)" and 2004's "Bring 'Em Out" peaked at the number 9 spot. T.I. was also featured on the Justin Timberlake single "My Love," which held down the number one slot for a number of weeks in 2006.

    • Assassination Plot On Barack Obama?

A group of individuals who made vague threats about assassinating presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama posed no threat to the Illinois Senator, US officials say.

The three men in question were high at the time of their arrest on gun and drug charges but would have been unable to carry out any attack, Colorado federal prosecutor Troy Eid says. Any attempts to kill Obama equaled little more than the “racist ramblings of three meth heads.”

During the arrest of the three men, one suspect attempted to escape by jumping from the sixth floor of a Denver hotel, breaking his ankle in the process.

"In case people don't know, and I wanna bring this public now: my brother is epileptic. We started to cancel the show because he had a seizure the night before we had to get on the plane [for the Sydney concert]. We did a 20 hour flight then got right on stage. I knew my brother was gonna get sick [because of that], man. When we do the song "Crazy" JoJo lays out on the ground, and thats part of the show...but [what happened] wasn't part of the show."

    • If Hip Hop is with Him, Who Can Be Against Him? (Everybody?!?)

This MTV article asks the question, "Can hip hop support Obama without hurting his campaign?" My answer is a resounding, YES! The fact that Senator Obama has made it this far with a campaign that reaches the hearts and minds of Americans young and old is a testimony of how far we have come. Nevertheless, we still have a ways to go. In the meantime, it seems REAL that Senator Obama, with Sen. Biden as his running mate, can take over the White House for at least the next four years and give to many Americans, including myself, something we have lacked for the past eight years: HOPE!

    • The Game - LAX ALBUM REVIEW

Over the course of his career, The Game has dared fans and foes to convince him that he’s something less than a superstar. Whether it be his emergence as a part of G-Unit, his numerous rifts with everyone from 50 Cent to Ras Kass or his run ins with the law, Game has made sure his name has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue. His debut album rocked Hip Hop’s foundation and his sophomore album held its own amidst turbulent circumstances that surrounded his career (separation from G-Unit, Dr. Dre, etc). As he approaches his third album, Game doesn’t have expectations of a debut album to go up against. Nor does he stare in the face of a sophomore slump. LAX is Game getting an opportunity to be Game – minus controversy or any other outside force pulling at him.

After DMX lends a prayer to open the album, Ice Cube shows up to raise the curtain on “State of Emergency.” It give the impression that Cube is present to perform the proverbial passing of the torch to his younger west coast brethren. But although Game arguably represents the finest the left coast has to offer, the crowning is just a bit premature – even on Game’s third album.
